Rotopress
The Rotopress was designed in France and originally built
by Laird before it was taken over by German company Faun.
The Rotopress has a continuously rotating drum that is always compacting
the refuse inside the body.
The refuse is loaded through the rear hopper into the rotating drum and is then rotated in
a corkscrew action until it is small enough to pass through a small hole in the drum to enter the main area of the
drum which is them moved by corkscrew action to the front of the body.
